The new ISO/IEC 27001:2022, the leading international standard for information security management systems (ISMS), is more than just an update – it is a milestone in the further development of modern information security. It replaces the previous version ISO 27001:2013 and introduces significant changes:

The new structure of measures, called ‘Controls’ (reduced from 114 to 93, now in 4 groups)
11 new measures, e.g. for cloud security, data masking and activity monitoring
Focus on risk-based thinking and stronger process orientation
More emphasis on corporate culture and human factors

Why switch now at the latest?

The transition to the new standard not only better protects your sensitive data, but also demonstrates to stakeholders that you are future-oriented when it comes to cyber security. All old certificates must be converted by 31 October 2025 at the latest. Don't wait too long!
