Digitalisation in public health services – an interview with one of the two managing directors of SINOVO business solutions GmbH, Jan Filip
Systematic digitalisation for central administrative processes: SINOVO business solutions GmbH is supporting one of its customers, a health authority in Germany, with testing and reviewing documentation and manuals for its modernisation.
SINOVO press contact:
Since 2020, the Pact for the Public Health Service (ÖGD) has been supporting the digitisation of health authorities. What role does SINOVO play in this?
Jan Filip:
We are supporting a German health authority in 12 digital projects. These include, for example, a citizen portal, digital documentation, dashboards, laboratory organisation and validation of laboratory IT infrastructure. Our focus is on quality, security and practicality.
Test, evaluate, optimise – quality assurance is key
Press contact:
How do you contribute to quality assurance?
Filip:
We check test coverage, create test plans and carry out software tests – both for quality assurance and to validate existing systems. We analyse test reports, evaluate unit tests (unit tests: the smallest testable parts of an application that are checked individually for functionality) and make specific recommendations for optimisation.
Secure systems through clear roles and clean code
SINOVO press contact:
Security is essential in the healthcare sector. How is this taken into account in your work?
Filip:
A functioning rights and roles concept for users is central. We not only check the concept itself, but also test its implementation. In addition, we carry out software code reviews, during which code quality, security (e.g. authentication, password handling) and maintainability are analysed.
Structured documentation – the invisible helper
SINOVO press contact:
What happens when documentation is reviewed?
Filip:
We review requirements, architecture, technical and test documentation, as well as user and operating manuals. The focus is on comprehensibility, completeness and traceability – the basis for operation, maintenance and further development.
Support from A to Z: from test plan to manual
SINOVO press contact:
What other services do you offer?
Filip:
In addition to testing, we also create test plans, assist with the creation of operating and technical manuals, and provide support for systematic rollouts. Our goal: digital solutions that work and can be used sustainably.
Conclusion:
With its comprehensive expertise, SINOVO is contributing to the successful digitalisation of the health authority. The structured approach consisting of tests, reviews and documentation strengthens the efficiency and security of the health authorities – today and in the future.
