Space for further growth: Sinovo Group moves into new headquarters in Bad Vilbel, not far from SpringPark Valley

Press Release
Frankfurt am Main, 26th August 2021

On 1 September 2021, the Sinovo Group will move into a larger office building in Bad Vilbel that offers employees an attractive working environment. The move is necessary because the number of employees has doubled in the last three years.

In addition to more spacious and open-plan business premises, the immediate proximity to the future SpringPark Valley, i.e. Europe's largest innovation district, to public transport and to a wide range of other local services was particularly important for the choice of the new company headquarters of the group, consisting of Sinovo health solutions GmbH and Sinovo business solutions GmbH.

New shows designed for personal growth

The new facilities in Bad Vilbel not only provide sufficient space for the current workforce of over 70 employees, but are also designed to accommodate further personnel growth.

The attractive office concept with open work spaces strengthens teamwork, which usually involves direct coordination with all implemented requirements, and at the same time promotes communication between the group's four different business areas, i.e. individual software development, medical software development, quality management/testing and IT infrastructure operation.

However, employees can also retreat to quiet zones and work there with a high degree of concentration. An important part of Sinovo's corporate culture is transparency, which is now also supported by the open-plan office concept and the new glass partitions.

Various quiet zones, a cafeteria and a room with a pool table and table football ensure the necessary relaxation and a pleasant atmosphere.
These facilities, along with the site's easy accessibility (the suburban railway is within walking distance) and the excellent infrastructure in the vicinity, significantly enhance the Sinovo Group's attractiveness as an employer.

‘Moving into the business premises in Bad Vilbel represents a further milestone in our successful company history and creates space for the planned new growth of the four divisions.’ We were also lucky enough to be able to design the rooms according to our ideas and in line with our corporate culture. This allows us to offer our employees an attractive working environment that promotes collaboration and team spirit. The new normal of working from home and the collaborative new office campus thus complement each other perfectly. ‘Just like regular and targeted development and training programmes, these are among the key prerequisites for long-term and successful employee retention,’ says Jan Filip, one of Sinovo's managing directors.

Personalised advice and a local presence as part of our corporate philosophy

Customers also benefit from the positive working environment, which promotes the development of innovative solutions and services in their area.
‘With the new location in Bad Vilbel, we are living up to our claim of being close to our customers as an IT partner.’ We see the nearby SpringPark Valley as a magnet for innovation that helps us to actively exploit future topics for further business development. Personalised consulting and collaboration with partner companies in the region are an integral part of our corporate philosophy. ‘The successful projects of recent years are both an endorsement and an incentive for us to continue to build on our role as a consultant and shaper of digitisation,’ said Filip with satisfaction.

‘The greater Frankfurt area is economically supported by family businesses, for which we traditionally work as an IT service company with a wide range of IT services.’ “For these entrepreneurs, personal advice and a local presence are very important,” adds Filip.

Sinovo offers corporate clients across all industries customised software development, design of IT infrastructures, development of digital health applications (DiGA) and quality management services.

A rapidly growing segment at Sinovo: development of medical apps and approval of DiGA

A rapidly growing segment of the group is the development of medical apps, the approval of DiGA and the necessary quality management including marketing. DiGA are digital medical devices such as medical apps that support doctors in detecting, monitoring, treating or alleviating illnesses, injuries or disabilities. In order to be reimbursed as a ‘prescription app’, they must have successfully passed an approval process at the BfARM (Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices) and be registered in the BfArM's DiGA directory.

In recent months, Sinovo's eHealth division has seen an increase in enquiries about the development of medical apps and the approval of DiGA. ‘We expect the demand for DiGA approval to continue to increase significantly,’ says Filip confidently.

Since May 2020, providers of potential DiGA have been able to apply for inclusion in the directory of digital health applications using a so-called fast-track procedure. The fast-track procedure aims to have DiGA reviewed by the BfArM and a decision made on inclusion in the directory within three months.

‘Just a little over a year later, 20 DiGA are already on the BfArM directory and can be reimbursed for use in various diseases.’ DiGA can help doctors and patients pave the way to the future of medicine. At the same time, patients will have more confidence in DiGA for self-managing their condition, as they are “prescribed by a trusted doctor and reimbursed by health insurance,” emphasises Filip.
